We
turn Iron Maiden albums into football shirts! Iron Maiden albums
became football shirts! The Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son model was
inspired by the cover of the album of the same name, released by the
band in 1988. The main setting, which prints all over the shirt, is a
lake of ice that merges with the sky, and complete the predominant blue
print in the mantle.
Developed and approved together with
Iron Maiden, the band's line of official football shirts were produced
with the same quality and technology as the shirts used by major clubs
around the world.
The main feature of the Seventh Son Of A
Seventh Son model is the theme of the legend explored in the songs on
the album: a child would have been sent into the world to represent good
(or evil) – the “seventh child of the seventh child”, who would have
supernatural powers.
The shirt has the predominant blue
color, referring to the glacier in the illustration. Eddie appears
floating in the lake of ice, holding a fetus in his left hand, which
might (or might not) be a reference to a child with supernatural powers.
The embroidered shield features the face of the band's mascot in
prominence, with the same feature as the main characteristic image of
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son with the inscription “Maiden FC”, making a
reference that we transform each Iron Maiden studio album into a team.
The model's collar is sky blue and the cuffs of the sleeves are the
same color, with details in yellow and navy blue that match the band's
name on the album that inspired the shirt. The darker shade is also
present in the micro perforated fabric bands sewn on the sides of the
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. The band's name is applied in
thermo-adhesive adhesive, with the same font used in the English brand,
and follows the tones present on the original cover.
On the
back of the shirt, the sky blue tone continues with the same proposal as
the cover, following the original illustration by Derek Riggs. The
number 88, corresponding to the year of the album's release, is applied
on a sticker in navy blue and yellow. The inscription “Seventh Son Of A
Seventh Son”, referencing the inspiration album, is sublimated at the
nape of the neck.
The official product seal completes the
model - rubberized in polyurethane - applied on the front, along the hem
of the shirt, certifying that the fan is purchasing an original and
exclusive product, licensed and approved by Iron Maiden itself.
