VINTAGE TRAVEL SEWING KIT

Description

A vintage made in Japan, probably from the Occupied Japan Era, wood with Japanese Chinoiserie over, egg shaped travel sewing kit.
The kit is complete, with, thimble, thread, needle safe which includes one needle one pin one safety pin. The thread spool-needle safe is capped with a brass cap, stamped " MADE IN JAPAN". The kit lid is pressed on and off and is stainless steel. Everything works as it should.
Although seemingly never used, it has some handling ware consistent with being tossed around. there are some scratches, scuffing, one small crack in the finish, and a small chip at the top of the egg (see last pic).
