WWII Vintage 1940's Military Sewing Kit With Four Bakelite Buttons

What can be said other than to wonder in what places this sewing kit rested. All of the wooden bobbins are original and all but three have the thread gone. The little box that says sewing needs contains four bakelite buttons since plastic was not yet a pervasive substance during World War II. The needles no longer accompany the set but the scissors and the thimble are present. Naturally there are signs of wear.
